Give your BeerTender new life with the Newcastle DraughtKeg ($23). Like a portable English pub, the pressurized mini-keg serves up 10 pints of draught beer, and will stay fresh for 30 days with on-tap tastiness, just like the Heineken version.

This popular American brew is a slight mix between a hefeweizen and a wheat beer, as the taste is wheaty with a mix of a citrus flavor like most wheat beers. The medium body ensures that it will be lighter than wheat beers, but the overall light taste is reminiscent of a hefeweizen. With a malty feel and distinct taste, this hefeweizen will be sure not to disappoint.
Thanks for your comment. The mini kegs of beer are becoming more and more popular. Because of this, you will see them showing up in your local grocery stores more. However, the choices will be pretty slim. I know my local HEB has a couple of options available.
HiI am looking for where I can purchase the fitment that sits on top of the unpressurised 5 litre mini keg so that can use beers such as Warsteiner etc. in my worktop cooler dispenser. Anyone have any ideas, as the sellers of the dispensers do not seem to do the parts for them.
I too am in search of something other than Heineken for my mini-kegerator! Is there anything else out there like the New Castle Nut Brown Ale which is, as I understand it, also brewed by Heineken Where can I find it in Columbus, Ohio Please someone help!
If you are ever in Ft Walton Beach Florida, Beach Liquor has 5 or 6 different German beers, along with Heineken and others. I picked up 2 mini kegs of kulmbacker German. There were 4 other brands , but 2 kegs were $59.00.
This DraughtKeg is one hell of a deal at around $23. They hold around 4.3 liters which works out to be about seven 22-ounce glasses. Buying two six packs nets your more beer, but in this case at least, the beer is a lot more fresh coming from the DraughtKeg. Plus, the mini keg gets bonus points for being awesome.
I did the Liquid malt extract version of this beer. I used safeale Dry yeast. I followed the directions to and fermented at about 68 Degrees for one week in primary and then about 2 weeks in the secondary. I bottled this beer and waited about a month to drink. I can honestly say this is one of the best beers I have ever made. It has a nice crisp taste and does taste like fresh newcastle. I will buy the allgrain version next
That brings us to the question of whether there are indeed alternatives to a mini-keg that have more value for their money. To compare this, we went to Walmart and checked a 12, 18, and 24-pack and calculated the price for 12oz and 16oz of these beers. The prices were as follows for the total pack:
Now that we know if the mini-keg is a good deal or not, we also have to know if the mini-keg can last you a while. First, the good news: unopened Heineken mini-kegs can last nine months which is about as much as any other beer in a bottle or can last you.
However, opened Heineken mini-kegs (once already been tapped) have an expiration date of 30 days. So, even though they look ideal for parties, it can still mean you end up with 3/4 of a mini-keg of Heineken that needs to be drunk in the next 30 days. Again, we would say an 18-pack or 24-pack is most likely your better option for the international pale lager that Heineken is.
Mini kegs offer a convenient way to store and dispense beer, but the quality and taste of the beer may not be as good as beers that are bottled or canned. Additionally, mini kegs often have a higher price per ounce than oter types of beer.
Yes, you can refill a 5L keg. Heineken mini kegs are actually Cornelius kegs, which are often used by homebrewers to dispense home-brewed beer. The mini kegs can be easily refilled with CO2 using a standard ball-lock connector.
5l mini kegs work in a similar way to full-sized kegs, but because they are smaller, they require less time to settle. The beer is filtered and pre-carbonated before it is filled into the mini kegs, so it is ready to drink as soon as they are opened. However, because the beer is not sealed in an airtight container like a regular bottle or can, it will start to go stale after a few days. This is why mini kegs are typically consumed within a few days of beig opened.
A pony keg, also kown as a 1/6 barrel keg, typically holds about five gallons of beer and costs anywhere from $60 to $90. The cost of a pony keg can vary depending on the brand of beer and the retailer.
A mini keg is the smallest keg size you can buy. They are typically designed for mini kegerators, however, mini kegs can be compatible with larger kegerators. This is the smallest kegerator size often available and this keg contains 5 liters or 169.07 ounces.
In the North East, Newcastle Brown Ale is often given the nickname \"Dog\", alluding to the British euphemism of seeing a man about a dog.[29] It is also known as Broon, \"brown\" pronounced in the Geordie dialect. Elsewhere in the UK, it is known as Newkie Brown.

Newcastle Brown Ale was first brewed in 1927 in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, by Jim Porter after three years of development. Production moved from Newcastle to Gateshead at the end of 2004 and to Tadcaster on closure of the Dunston brewery in 2010. In 2017 the beer was re-branded and production moved to the main Heineken Factory in Zouterwoude. 59ce067264
